The new release, Ellie 7.5, enables users to better govern their glossaries as conceptual entities now support versioning. We're also giving more power to admin users, providing access to conceptual entity metadata and attribute settings and allowing customers to manage Azure Active Directory and Okta single sign-on configurations directly via admin tools.
We introduced model versioning last year, and with Ellie 7.5 we’re adding the same functionality to conceptual entities.
You can now:
Additionally, the system automatically creates snapshots of the entity when changes have been made to an entity. It happens once every 15 minutes so as to avoid creating too many versions.
You can name a snapshot as well as provide a description that gives context around the entity version. You can also see the changes visually—entity name, metadata, attributes—when browsing through the snapshots.
Restoring an entity will bring all the metadata from the snapshot as a new version of the entity.
You can now arrange and modify conceptual entity attribute and metadata fields in admin settings. Previously, such modifications would require reaching out to Ellie's support team.
Admin users can now set up single sign-on for their organization.
Ellie supports Azure Active Directory and Okta for single sign-on (SSO) and you can get familiar with both of them in our documentation.
Previously, these configurations had to be done by the Ellie team.
