Your role as a Full Stack Developer at Ellie

As a Full Stack Developer at Ellie, your role will lean heavily towards the frontend. Our product emphasizes visuality and we strive to create a tool that people don't just use, but truly enjoy using.

Our SaaS tool, resembling a visual data mind map, is valuable for business and enterprise users as it eases communication with IT departments. It features diverse model layers for different user roles, with visual elements acting as a key connector. In this role, you'll significantly enhance the visual appeal and user experience of our product while working also on backend tasks.

The role in more detail:

→ You will be working with cutting-edge technologies like ReactJS, ReactFlow, YJS, TypeScript, NodeJS, PostgreSQL, Figma and MaterialUI developing both backend and frontend solutions for our B2B SaaS products.

→ Our top priority right now is to speed up active development according to our roadmap, which means you'll be diving back into hands-on software development work.

→ As a part of our highly self-organized, collaborative, and growing development organization, you'll be playing an integral role in mentoring mid/junior level developers. We value growth and learning, and we believe there's no better way to learn than from experienced professionals like you.

→ In your first 30 days, you'll already get to take responsibility for features, propose improvements, and start making a real impact on our product and team. By your first year, you'll have appointed responsibility areas where other team members can seek your consultation.

→ You'll be part of a stream team of 7-8 people, working in a 50 % hybrid model at our Helsinki office. The team consists of developers, designers, QA, product managers, team leads, and architects.

To excel in this role:

• You should be a software developer with 2-6 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a startup or consulting environment.
• This is an 'almost senior' or 'senior' position, ideal for someone ready to take the next step in their career, contribute to a growing company, and mentor others
• Proficiency in ReactJS and NodeJS is essential, and a degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• An understanding of metadata, data warehousing, and data catalogs would be a plus, as would a consistent interest in coding and digital technologies.
